The idea of Yi is the mother of Chinese thought and has had a significant influence on the formation of the Song school of thought. In order to understand Song studies, one cannot ignore the philosophy of I. In this lecture, we will use the Ch'i-ch'i-lu, which is the basic text of Song studies. In this lecture, we will use the Chikan Shilu, which can be said to be the basic text of Song studies, as a text to confirm how Song Confucianists understood the idea of Yi and to elucidate the relationship between Song studies and Yi. |
