Yamazaki ansai was one of the leading scholars and thinkers of the Edo period (1603-1868), and his school of thought has continued into the modern era as the Yakusai school. The Ansai school of thought is extremely important for understanding Japanese thought. In this lecture, we will take a multifaceted view of the Ansai school of thought from various perspectives, such as Shushi-gaku, Shintoism, Daiginism, and Huayi thought, and outline its ideological characteristics. |
