| Course Overview |
This course aims to explore interdisciplinary research between theoretical linguistics (e.g., generative grammar) and neurolinguistics, and to learn research methodologies for understanding the nature of the human language/mind. In the first part of this course, we will discuss the research issues in generative grammar (particularly the minimalist framework) and its potential future directions. In the second part of this course, we will cover the fundamentals of neurolinguistics, and introduce recent interdisciplinary studies combining neuroscience and natural language processing. We will also discuss methodological approaches for future research. |
