| Course Overview |
Through the Japanese History Seminar XIXA and XIXB, the goal is to write an 8,000-character thesis on the theme of Eiichi Shibusawa. Of course, it is not easy to write a history thesis right away. Therefore, the aim is to acquire and refine the skills and etiquette necessary for thesis writing through the specific process of writing a thesis on Shibusawa. With this in mind, in this Seminar XIXA, the following content will be covered with the participants, aiming for each participant to determine the theme of their thesis and create the necessary research plan. Specifically, the following content is planned: ①The process of forming the collection of historical materials related to Shibusawa and how to use the database. ②Reading historical materials and previous research related to Shibusawa. ③What a research plan is and what tasks are necessary to create a research plan. ④How to collect historical materials and previous research. ⑤Creation of a research plan for writing a short thesis by the participants. |
