This lecture examines the historical position of Sesshu's paintings from various angles, taking into account the larger historical trends of East Asian painting in the 15th century. This course is conducted as a single, continuous subject alongside the quarter-based course of the same name, designated as A/B in the course numbering system. As a general rule, students are expected to enroll on a semester basis. However, if you wish to take the course on a quarter basis due to special circumstances such as studying abroad, you must submit a request in advance. |
