| Course Overview |
This course provides an overview of theories and methods for analyzing contemporary families in the late modernity. The primary focus will be on "diverse families," exploring policies, support systems, and the realities experienced by individuals within these family structures. Students will read various academic papers featuring interviews with individuals directly involved. Through these narratives, students are encouraged to appreciate the depth and complexity of firsthand accounts. When time permits, students will participate in small group discussions to further deepen their understanding. |
