Read literature written in colloquial Chinese (白話) from the Six Dynasties to the present day. Understand its historical development and characteristics. The course will cover literature of various genres, including novels, plays, history books, and more, in a retrospective manner from the present to the past. During the first semester, the course will focus on literature from the modern period to the early modern period. |
