Course Overview ・In order to acquire basic skills in Heian literature research, students will practice annotating works (transcribing, proofreading, text adjustment, word interpretation, and modern language translation).
・The subject will be "The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter", which is known as the origin of stories created in the Heian period (continued from 2024).
・Students prepare materials in advance and take turns in presenting. Everyone other than the person in charge will participate in the discussion during the Q&A session.
・Guidance will be provided at the beginning of the first semester, with the assumption that the course will be taken in conjunction with "Japanese Literature Seminar I" held in the first semester.
