| Course Overview |
In this course, we will explore the possibilities and challenges of using digital technologies (including generative AI) in the field of Oriental history. Since we will begin with the basics, no prior knowledge of digital technology is required. Although the primary focus will be on the study of ancient Chinese history—particularly research on the Northern Wei—other periods will also be covered broadly. To allow hands-on experience with digital tools, students are encouraged to bring a laptop to each class whenever possible. |
