Course Overview The classical Daoist text Zhuangzi from ancient China consists of the Inner Chapters, Outer Chapters, and Miscellaneous Chapters. The Inner Chapters present a complex and challenging philosophical discourse, while the Outer Chapters convey ideas in a more accessible manner through abundant parables. This course explores the philosophy of freedom and transcendence in Zhuangzi, which continues to attract modern intellectual interest, alongside the distinctive interpretations of Guo Xiang.
