Course Overview In this course, we will explore the development of Buddhism with a primary focus on Buddhist thought in India.
After the passing of the Buddha, Buddhism underwent repeated divisions and transformed in diverse ways while absorbing the cultural characteristics of various regions.
We will study in detail the historical formation and philosophical foundations of these developments.
