The central theme of this course is to focus on "norms," which seem to constitute the essence of being "human," and to examine them philosophically and ethically. Last year's course discussed how norms relate to human "action." This year's course will explore how norms engage with our "perception." As with action, we will likely argue that "without norms, human perception itself would be impossible." |
